Every day, I hear women, especially midlife women, b*tch and moan about the same issues:
Feeling bloated
Inflammation
Poor sleep
Weight gain
Brain fog
Irritability
No energy
STOP BLAMING AGE AND GENES!
I'm not saying they aren't a factor, but more likely it's diet and lifestyle... which is great news and super empowering!
It sounds so restrictive, doesn't it? Giving up all animal products (including eggs, fish, and dairy), and ONLY eating plants? What the what??? I mean, we all grew up consuming, wearing, and purchasing animals. Look around your house or car. It's been normalized.

I get it. For decades, I thought veganism was ridiculous. In fact, I used to operate a home-based bakery that relied on eggs, butter, and cream. If someone asked about vegan options, ignorantly, I told them to eat an apple.
I didn't know what I didn't know.
And I didn't understand my responsibility. As a pet-lover and Earth dweller, I care deeply about the planet and its inhabitants, so how did I compartmentalize those thoughts with my diet? Now I eat in alignment with my values.
So can you.
Veganism equates to compassion. I'm not just talking about eating plant-based. I'm referring to how we feel, all the time.
If you've ever dieted, YOU KNOW DEPRIVATION. You are familiar with restricting and labeling foods as good and bad. You have punished and celebrated depending on whether you stuck to your plan.

And THAT SUCKS. Dieting f*cks with your head, not to mention your body. And why? So you can fit into a dress... or simply fit in socially?
Why not eat joyfully?
A whole-foods plant-based (WFPB) diet allows you to eat delicious, nutrient-rich food that nourishes you, body and soul. You get to eat without guilt or shame. It's all cruelty-free.
You can actually eat without weighing, measuring, counting, or tracking... F*N FINALLY!
The benefits of a WFPB vegan lifestyle are countless. You will likely have more energy, better sleep, more gratitude and compassion, less brain fog, less bloating and inflammation, and less aches.
Resistance will come up.
Challenges will appear.

Think of it as DATING VEGANISM.
Don't focus on marriage.
Give it the full 12 weeks. Don't worry about forever. Let yourself experience everything this lifestyle offers. And when you struggle, and you will, give yourself grace and use the community.
Pay attention to the improvements, because there will be many.
